On June 3, 2022, at 10:06 p.m., 59-year-old Pedro Zapata was placed under arrest by Detectives in the Criminal Investigations Bureau for assault-third, simple assault & battery, and disturbance of the peace that occurred on May 9, 2022, in the area of Fort Christian Parking Lot. An investigation revealed Zapata struck a male victim in his face with a piece of wood (2×4), which caused injury.
Bail for Zapata was set at $27,500, and he was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
