Blackout Hits All Customers on St. Thomas-St. John

At 1:10 p.m., Sunday, the V.I. Water and Power Authority announced a major electrical service interruption affecting all customers in the St. Thomas-St. John district following the loss of generation capacity at the Randolph Harley Power Plant.

The utility said it’s working to rebuild generation capacity ahead of restoring service to all customers.
