Police Investigate Residential Burglary on STX

A home in Estate Mary’s Fancy on St. Croix was robbed Monday afternoon by two short males, at least one of whom was armed, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to the VIPD, at 2:52 p.m. Aug. 24, the 911 emergency call center dispatched officers to Estate Mary’s Fancy in reference to a residential burglary.

At the scene, the victim told officers she saw an unknown male wearing a mask entering through her bedroom window. The suspect pointed a gun at her, then let another individual into the house.

The two suspects searched the residence seeking cash before departing the residence.

The victim described both suspects was being about 5 feet tall. One of the suspects was described as being Black and wearing a black mask.

The VIPD urged anyone with information about the incident to contact police by calling 911, the Crime TipLine at 340-778-4950, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477 (1-800-222-TIPS).
