The V.I. Police Department on Tuesday arrested Hasani Parris, age 22 of Hospital Ground, and charged him with possession of an unlicensed firearm.

On June 21, officers found a firearm in a vehicle operated by Parris in Paul M. Pearson Gardens after a report of shots fired in the area.

Bail for Parris was set at $25,000. Unable to post bail, he was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending his Advice of Rights hearing.

Police asked anyone with information about the incident to call 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 extension 5579 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-8477.
