Man Treated for Gunshot Wounds after Estate Plessen Shooting

A man was transported Monday to the Juan F. Luis Hospital, where he was treated for wounds he received from a shooting in the parking lot of Plaza Extra West in Estate Plessen, the B.I. Police reported.

According to police. at 8:52 p.m. Monday the 911 emergency call center was notified of shots fired in the parking lot of the supermarket. Responding officers found a male gunshot victim. The victim’s name was not released by the police.

The victim was transported to the Juan F. Luis Hospital by ambulance. His injuries were not considered life-threatening, and he was listed in stable condition.

Police urged anyone with information that can assist police find those responsible is urged to call 911, the Crime TipLine at 340-778-4950, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
