The V.I. Police Department on Saturday arrested Kenedy Francisco Estevez Pinales, age 26 of Enighed, St. John, on a warrant charging him with possession of stolen property, destruction of evidence and grand larceny.

The incident took place at the site of a Dec. 22 shooting at the Exclusive Bar and Nightclub in Contant. The original police report had attributed the event to a different, incorrect site.

According to police, Pinales was observed on surveillance video removing items from the scene.

Police have released the names of the two men who died as a result of the shooting. The victims are Luis Castillo Agramonte, age 27, and Ivan de Aza, age 45. Police said de Aza shot three people, including Agramonte, who died of his wounds, then was shot and killed.

Bail for Pinales was set at $35,000. Unable to post bail, he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending an advice of rights hearing.

Police urged anyone with information about the case to contact 911, the Criminal Investigation Bureau at 340-774-2211 ext. 5569 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
