Continued Cloudiness and Showers Through at Least Wednesday

Plenty of moisture over and approaching the Virgin Islands will lead to continued cloudiness and showers through at least Wednesday. Winds are forecast to shift to the east-southeast today with high temperatures averaging in the mid to upper 80s.

Fresh to locally strong easterly trade winds to 22 knots (25 miles per hour), with higher gusts, will generate hazardous seas between six and ten feet. Small craft advisories are in effect for most of the regional waters.

There is a high risk of rip currents for most beaches on St. Croix.
