340365 Athletics Inc. and UVI Hold Spring Volleyball League


340365 Athletics Inc., in collaboration with the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI), will host the 2019 Spring Volleyball League on St. Thomas at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center. Five male and five female teams, ages 15 and older, will participate in a competitive 8-week league.

The deadline for team submissions has been extended to Feb. 10.

Games take place on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from Feb. 5 through April 7. Games played during the weekday begin at 7 p.m., and on weekends, games will begin at 1 p.m.

“In 2020, our goal at UVI Athletics, is to launch a collegiate level volleyball program at the university. We are excited to partner with 340365 Athletics to begin this mission, which will not only help to promote the sport but provide a fun-filled activity for the residents in our community,” said Wilberto Ramos, UVI athletic director.

The opening ceremony will take place at 1 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 10, at the UVI Sports and Fitness Center. The community is invited to attend. There will be games, giveaways and much more.

Sunday, Feb. 10
1:30 p.m. – Hots Shots vs. Sky High Volleyball Club (Female)
2 p.m. – UVI Bucs vs. Set to Kill (Female)
3 p.m. — Top Block vs. UVI Bucs (Male)
4 p.m. – Hurricanes vs. Grave Diggers (Male)
5 p.m. – Strikers vs. Top Block (Male)
