Joseph Aubain Ballpark in Frenchtown.

Gov. Kenneth E. Mapp has approved a contract to begin repairs at the Joseph Aubain Ballpark in Frenchtown.

The project includes work on the fencing, backstop and pipes. Work will be conducted by Rijo Repairs and Maintenance LLC under the supervision of the Department of Sports, Parks and Recreation (DSPR), which manages the ballpark.

Repairs are set to be completed within 60 days with an option to renew the term for an additional 30 days if necessary. The contract is valued at $24,875.

The governor said he looks forward to working with DSPR to ensure repairs and improvements to all of the territory’s recreation areas, most of which suffered significant damage as a result of hurricanes Irma and Maria.
