Vancito Jennings

Vancito Jennings, affectionately known as “Nam,” died on Saturday, Jan. 27, in Atlanta, Ga.

He left to mourn his wife, Alicia Brathwaite-Jennings; daughter, Sherri A. Jennings; sons: Shern A. Jennings and Michael V. Trotman; brother-Errol Jennings, sisters: Doreen Freeman, Judith Thomas, Millicent Jennings-Angiulli and Orilda Dessuit-Herbert; grandchildren: Ray Williams Jr., Kenya, Janelle and Justin Jennings; great-grandchild, Samuel Williams; and daughter-in-law, Velma Jennings.

He is also survived by brothers-in-law: Lucas Angiulli, Roy Mercer Sr., James Martin Sr. and Edward Brathwaite Sr.; sisters-in-law: Marva Jennings and Marva Martin; special friends: CAHS Class of 1963, Evelyn Freeman, Ejnar McClean, Winston Turnbull, Lesmore “Fordy” Francis, Allison Lloyd, Dr. Mavis Matthew and Corine King; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

The first viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 22, at Turnbull’s Funeral home. The second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 23, at the Frenchtown Evangelistic Assembly. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services.
