A man was robbed early Saturday morning when he was walking towards his car, the V.I. Police Department reported.
According to police, at about 3:18 a.m. a citizen reported he was walking towards his vehicle when he was shoved from behind by an unknown person and then robbed.
The victim, whose name was not released by police, said that after he fell to the ground he must have lost consciousness, because he woke up to several citizens around him.
The victim told police he later realized his wallet was missing from his back pocket, as was a small amount of cash from his front pocket.
The police did not report where the incident took place.
The victim was transported to the Schneider Regional Medical Center via ambulance for further observation, was treated for a minor bruise to his right elbow and released.
