Federal Coordinating Officer of FEMA Region II Bill Vogel announced Friday that FEMA will hire dozens of local residents for its operations in the territory.
To apply, applicants can send an email to fema-workforce-caribbean@fema.dhs.gov, including their resume, and include “Virgin Islands” in the subject line. Individuals also can drop off resumes and fill out applications on-site. If prospective applicants are not able to print out a resume, they can fill out a form on-site as well.
The on-site application drop-off locations and operating times are:
Saturday
St. Croix, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Department of Labor
Sunday
All locations closed
Monday
St. Croix and St. Thomas, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Department of Labor
St. John, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the V.I. Legislature
Tuesday
St. Croix and St. Thomas, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Department of Labor
Interviews will be held next Wednesday to Friday. FEMA will contact applicants by phone and email to schedule interviews, Vogel said.
