A man was injured by a gunshot wound to his left forearm Wednesday morning in Bolongo Bay on the hill heading toward Sea View Nursing Home, the V.I. Police Department reported.
According to police, at 7:59 a.m. Wednesday, the 911 emergency call center was notified of shots being fired in Bolongo Bay. Officers travelled to the Schneider Regional Medical Center and made contact with the male victim.
The man, whose name was not released by police, said he had been driving towards Sea View when two males with their faces covered came out of the bushes and started firing shots towards him.
The victim sustained one gunshot to his left forearm and was treated for his injuries at the hospital. He told officers that he did not know the men who shot him or why someone would want to shoot him.
This case is under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
