Missing Woman Found

A woman reported missing Sunday by her family has been found washed ashore in Trunk Bay, according to the V.I, Police Department.

Natalie Domchenko, age 54, had last been seen at 8 p.m. Sunday in the vicinity of Red Hook Ferry Dock. She last spoke to her sister on Saturday and told her that she would be traveling to Tortola and St. Croix on Sunday. Her sister was unable to make contact with her and had been unable to make contact with her since that time.

Domchenko was scheduled to leave St. Thomas at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday but did not make her flight.

On Wednesday, a member of the National Park Service discovered Domchenko washed ashore at Trunk Bay Beach in an incoherent and dehydrated state. She was taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center where she received treatment.

St. Thomas Chief of Police Jason Marsh thanked the National Park Service personnel for their efforts in rescuing Domchenko.
