Gordon Ackley Issues Independence Day Statement

Gordon Ackley is the Republican nominee for Congress. He is a St. Thomas businessman and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
Ackley issued the following statement on Independence Day.
“Two hundred and forty years ago our Founding Fathers sacrificed their lives, fortunes and sacred honor to secure the rights endowed to us by our Creator. The brave men and women of the Armed Services have secured that Spirit of 1776 over the generations. Unfortunately, today is also a reminder that we Virgin Islanders are denied the full enjoyment of the rights achieved through the Declaration of Independence.”
