A one-story wooden structure at Resort Adventures LLC was damaged by fire early Sunday morning, the V.I. Fire Services reported.
Both units from Fire Services’ Hotel Company responded to a 911 emergency call at 1 a.m. Sunday of structural fire at No. 5 Estate Bakkeroe, Frenchman’s Reef & Morning Star Marriott Beach,
Upon arrival, fire personnel came upon a one-story wooden structure fully engulfed in flames. Fire personnel entered the structure and proceeded to extinguish the fire. According to the news release, the fire was extinguished within 30 minutes.
Additional units from both Tango and Echo Companies were also requested on scene.
Fire personnel conducted their salvage and overhaul operations as they searched the structural debris for any signs of hidden fires and hotspots.
A safety inspection was made of the structure by fire personnel. All units on scene returned to their duty stations at 2:47a.m.
The St. Thomas/St. John Arson and Preventive Investigative Unit is investigating the blaze.
