Man Shot to Death in Savan

Jaquan Adolphine, 24, was shot to death Sunday evening in Savan, according to the V.I. Police Department.

It was the 20th homicide on St. Thomas since the beginning of the year, the 40th in the territory.

According to the VIPD, 911 dispatchers notified officers at 8:46 p.m. Sunday of gunfire in the Savan area.

At the scene, officers found an unresponsive black male in the stairwell of a residence located on Gamble Gade. The victim, who was later identified by a family member as being Adolphine, appeared to have sustained gunshot wounds about the body.
