Man Arrested on Multiple Charges

Michael McCrystal, 24, of Lindbergh Bay was arrested at 8:30 a.m. Friday and charged with driving under the influence, negligent driving, possession of an unlicensed firearm and illegal discharge of a firearm, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Police said McCrystal was arrested after he was involved in a vehicular accident on Veterans Drive and was unable to perform a field sobriety test. Officers searched his vehicle and allegedly discovered a loaded .40 caliber pistol and ammunition in his possession, according to the report.

Bail for McCrystal was set at $50,000 and he was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advice of rights hearing.
