Blanche T. Cid died on Monday, Aug. 24, at the Schneider Regional Medical Center on St. Thomas. She was 103 years old.
She was preceded in death by husband, Antonio Cid; and sons: Adolph (Rico) Browne/Cid and Floyd Cid.
She is survived by her children: Patricia Hodge, Antonio Cid Jr., Paulette Livingston and Donald Cid; brother, James Stephens Sr.; grandchildren: Paul Howard, Avrel Georges, Vere Beverly Lee, Bruce Cid, Edmond Kean, Rasheem Livingston, and Dwayne, David, Daniel and Donald Cid; 26 great-grandchildren; and nieces: Geraldine Georges, Marietta Stephens, Gloria Joseph, Elaine Broadus, Jeanette Stephens and Emilia Stephens.
She is also survived by nephews: Roy Stephens, Alphonso Stephens, James Stephens Jr. and Jerome Stephens; daughters-in-law: Alice Maria Cid, Sheila Cid and Jennifer Cid; son-in-law, Julien Hodge; caretakers: Marietta Gordon, Evitha Martin and Lubin Roberts; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 8:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at Frederick Lutheran Church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
