Police responding to a report of an assault Tuesday arrested a woman who is accused of stabbing her son three times.
At 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, officers were sent to the Tutu Highrise, according to the V.I. Police Department. Arriving at the scene, they met with the victim, who told them he had been attacked by his mother.
According to the report, the woman began to argue with him about the front door being unlocked and the dishes not having been washed. She then attempted to hit him with a curtain rod, which he grabbed and held onto, the victim alleges. She then grabbed a knife from the kitchen and pointed it at his chest and told him, “I should stab you,” the victim alleges. Then his mother allegedly stabbed him with the knife three times to his right hand, which required two sutures to close.
Anna Hart was arrested and charged with third-degree assault. Bail was set at $25,000 and she was remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending her advise of rights hearing.
