Mario A. Mason Dies at 53

Mario A. Mason Mario A. Mason, also known as "Lamsbread,” “Alsong” and “Limbuii," of D. Hamilton Jackson died on Saturday, Dec. 20. He was 53 years old.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henrique Mason Sr.; and son, Odisho Peters.
He is survived by his wife, Cathy Mason; daughters: Elisa Carmona, Jeanine Barnes, Maria, Alaira, Shamira Mason and Felicita Felix; sons: Mario Mason Jr., Adam, Enrique, Ralph and Mario Mason III and Mario Woods; mother, Elisa M. Miller; grandchildren: Maria, Wilfredo, Jose, Alé and Aneliz Carmona, Princess Emerald, Empress Eyanna and King Adam Mason, Isabella and Kenn Duinkerk, and Shane "Traeta" Louis; stepmother, Norma Mason; stepchildren: Stardilon Shillingford and Jasandra Felix; sisters: Patricia and Debra Mason, Arleen Miller, Diana Kelly, Pauline Hansen and Valarie Samaroo; and brothers: Antonio Oppenheimer, Henry Mason Sr., Henrique Mason Jr., Eugene Mason, Mark Mason, Ryan Mason Sr. and Gary Mason Sr.
He is also survived by nieces: Denisa, Damara and Dalisha Vanterpool, Anisha Allick, Shawna and Shanoi Silvest, Charnelle Gerard, Chenille and Cenoya Hendricks, Shamira, Shanice, Shaniqua, Shamoi and Shania Hansen, Deshay, Phillip, Jaynene, Nicole, Kathrine, Yenique, Tonetta, Shequanie, Kimberly and Toshanie Mason, Kendra Cunningham, Shequanda and Victoria Mason; nephews: Aliko and Akido Vanterpool, Anthony Allick Jr., Khaliif and Wayne Gerard Jr., Gerard, Jalen, Shawn, Gary Jr., Victor, Bryan, Caleb and Ryan Mason Jr., and Rasheen Samaroo; great nieces: Jahnisia Rivera, Zaria Furze, La’Nya Davis, Anya Allick, Khamya Browne, Alannah Anderson and Taliya Carey; and great nephews: Jesus Rivera Jr., Dejani Rivera, Luis III and Lamani Serrano, Brandon Graham Jr., De’quan Davis and Dante Gerard.
Other survivors include great-great niece, Jurnee Wilson; great-great nephew: Keith Carter and Jordan Rivera; aunts: Sylvia Miller Hodge, Bernadette and Denise Mason, and Bodel Simmonds; uncles: Mario, Dale and Augustin Mason Sr.; great aunt, Escelina Durante; daughter-in-law, Nazeema Augustin; son-in-Law: Wilfredo "Nene" Carmona; brothers-in-law: Halvor Hansen Jr. and Shawn Hendricks; sister-in-law, Earline Mason; godmother, Patricia Fabio; adopted mother, Eleanor Mason; adopted grandmother, Viola Henry; and adopted brothers: Bruce Kelly Sr. and Clifton "Keba" Julian.
Also among the survivors are special friends and family: Elizabeth "Betty" Dawson, Laiza Santiago, Gene "Spanish" Anderson and family, Agnes and Tony Devolt and family, Walter "Selah" Macedon and family, Eva Ramon, Yvette Jude, Luz, Debbie Christian and family, Ms. Samuel, Joanna French, Yvonne Samuel, T’wanna Hail, Roy Bolo, Cartier family, Lesley Hatchett, Valene Charles, Army, Yambii, Bang Wang, Irene, Nancy, Maria Figueroa, RDC4Lyfe family, Watergut Shanty Crew, Matthew Ara, STX and STT Horse Track Massive, Kenneth, Alayah and Johnathan Rollocks; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A Memorial Service will take place at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Way of the Cross Baptist (Work and Rest, Christiansted).
