Victim Reports Being Robbed by Man with Skin Condition

A man told police he was robbed early Monday by a suspect with an identifiable skin condition – white patches on the skin of his arms and hands, according to the V.I. Police Department.

Police were notified of the incident about 1:30 p.m. Monday. The victim told officers no one was injured.

The victim, whose name was not released by police, said he was near Gamble Gade with his girlfriend when she told him to watch out because someone was behind him. When the man looked around he saw the suspect with a firearm pointed at his face telling him, “Give me everything you got.”

The victim gave the suspect his silver neck chain with a crucifix pendent, his iPhone and about $4 in cash.

The victim said the suspect wore a black T-shirt, short jeans pants, black Nike sneakers and a camouflage bandana tied around the lower part of his face.

The suspect also had white patches on the skin of his arms and hands, the victim said.

Anyone with information on the case can call detectives at the Criminal Investigation Bureau, 1-340-715-5522 or 1-340-714-9834, the 911 emergency call center, or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800 222-8477.
