Man Injured by Gunshot to Leg

A man told police early on Christmas morning that he got into an altercation and was shot in his right thigh. The man was taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to the V.I. Police Department.

The victim was not identified in accord with a department police to not release the names of nonfatal victims.

According to police, the victim told officers he was near the Jala Jala Night club about 4 a.m. Wednesday when he got into an argument with another man. He said the altercation got physical and he punched the individual, knocking him to the ground.

He said he then saw another individual pointing a gun at him and he was shot in his right thigh.

This case is being followed up by the detectives in the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
