Nona C. Heyn Dies in Florida

Nona C. Heyn of Fernandina Beach, Fla., passed away early evening at Baptist Medical Center-Nassau on Oct. 8. She was 77 years old.
Daughter of the late Francis Heyn and Vera Backhouse, Nona was born on May 26, 1936, in New York, New York. She graduated from Park Ridge High School and then attended Vasser Secretarial College in New York. Nona loved to travel and enjoyed living in places like St. Croix, U.S.V.I. and Miami, Florida, before moving to Fernandina Beach to settle here. She adored and cared for her two Persian cats, Jackson and Gucci, and was a lover of home-cooked food. Ms. Heyn leaves behind her son, Bryan Patterson and his wife Dyana; a brother, Eiler Christian Heyn (Sybil); and a beloved friend, Marion Hubert.
