Note: Much progress has been made by the general public in its maintenance of the beach. The Beach Relay organized by V.I.Pace Runners is in cooperation with the annual International Coastal Cleanup Week organized by the Ocean Conservancy. For many years, the participants in this event would be tasked with enjoying the run and then picking up litter on the beach. To date, the beach is basically clean thanks to this group and others who have made it a priority to keep this beach clean. On Saturday, there was minimal trash to be picked up.
The next event on the V.I.Pace Runners calendar is week No. 2 4-H/V.I.Pace Runners Cross-Country Series UVI St. Croix at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9
