VIWMA Updates Public on St. Croix Wastewater Projects

The V.I. Waste Management Authority (VIWMA) updates St. Croix residents on two wastewater improvement projects.
Christiansted Collection System Upgrade Project: Commencing on Friday, Oct. 4, traffic will be diverted in the area of the Seaborne Terminal between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily. The detour is necessary to accommodate work on the sewer lines on Water Gut Road between the seaplane terminal entrance and the Government Parking Lot. East bound traffic on the Water Gut Road will be diverted around the Water Gut bus shanty to Smith Street. Northbound traffic on Prince Street must turn left at the Water Gut Road intersection.
Frederiksted Collection System Upgrade Project: Work continues in the area of the Frederiksted Fish Market. Motorists are asked to adhere to all traffic control directives and barricades, and to use alternate routes when possible.
