A 32-year-old man was stabbed in the lower left abdomen Saturday at the Starz Night Club in Havensight, according to the V.I. Police Department.
According to police, detectives went to the Schneider Regional Medical Center to interview the victim. He told them he was leaving the Starz night club at about 2:30 a.m. and noticed that his shirt was wet. It was only then that he realized he was bleeding and had been stabbed.
He was taken to the hospital by private vehicle. The victim said he did not know who stabbed him. He told police he was not involved in any altercation in the club.
Police did not identify the victim; the department does not release the names of victims of non-fatal assaults.
Detectives from the Criminal investigation Bureau are following up on this case.
