U.S.V.I. Powerlifting Federation Team Returns

The United States Virgin Islands Powerlifting Federation has announced its participation in the upcoming sport powerlifting competitions: 14th Pan-American Regional Powerlifting Championships, 11th North American Regional Powerlifting Championships and 7th Caribbean Powerlifting Championships.
The USVI Powerlifting Team is the only sports organization that has been successful in representing the territory in international competitions. This 13 member team is an official member of the International Powerlifting Federation (IPF) and the North American Powerlifting Federation (NAPF).
The team has been very successful in winning medals in every powerlifting competition participated in over the years. All competition results, which take place on July 1-6 in Florida and Nov. 4-9 in Norway, can be seen on the IPF/NAPF Web site under the calendar of events at www.usapowerlifting.com.
The community is invited to support and congratulate six returning champions at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 7, at Cyril E. King Airport. These returning champions are William Schouten, Ronald Walker, Christian Plaskett Jr., Lorenzo Donastorg, Truvia Plaskett and Robert Massey.
Anyone interested in visiting the team during training may do so from 7:30-11 p.m. at the Charlotte Amalie High School weight room located next to the gym on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
