Innovative Cable TV Takes Proactive Steps to Ensure Successful Game 7 NBA Final Broadcast

Innovative customers viewed the entirety of Game 7 of the NBA finals thanks to WTJX and Innovative’s technical support of Channel 8 signal delivery.
Customers were affected during Game 6 of the NBA finals one week ago due to signal inconsistencies in the feed from WSVI-Channel 8 delivered to Innovative Cable TV’s headend. Over the last six years, Innovative Cable TV customers, especially subscribers in the district of St. Thomas- St. John, have experienced similar technical issues. It rebroadcasts the signal that is delivered by Channel 8 and has no control over the signal quality or programming made available by Channel 8.
After the Game 6 problems and to ensure that Game 7 was uninterrupted, technical teams from Innovative, Channel 8 and WTJX- PBS worked at Channel 8’s facility in advance of and during the airing of the game. The company would like to provide special thanks to WTJX’s engineering team for their efforts.
To further insure the successful broadcast of Game 7, Innovative made a one-time back-up arrangement to obtain a direct network feed in the event the Channel 8 signal failed or was degraded as had occurred during Game 6. It will continue to look for a permanent back-up solution. Innovative is committed to providing the highest quality services to its customers and continues to invest in upgrading and improving cable and telecommunications services to its customers in the U.S.V.I.
