Police are still looking for 16-year-old Terrika Alexander, described as a "chronic runaway," who has not been seen since fleeting the Girls Group Home more than a month ago.
The V.I. Police Department is again asking the community to be on the lookout for Alexander, who has not contacted her family or the authorities since disappearing.
Alexander was a client of the V.I. Behavioral Services Girls Group Home when she failed to return May 15. She is 6 feet tall and weighs about 190 pounds. She has short black hair and may be wearing a weave, a wig or extensions in her hair. She is originally from St. Thomas.
In issuing a call to the community, the department included a personal message to the runaway: "Terrika, your family is very worried about you. Your mother is frantic. Can you please just call her and tell her you are OK. All problems can be worked out; you just have to face them."
Police continue to caution the public that anyone who harbors and/or assists a runaway minor can face criminal prosecution.
Anyone who has seen Terrika Alexander or knows her whereabouts can contact the Juvenile Investigation Bureau at 1-340-778-2211.
