Police Searching for Khaien Donawa, Missing Since Wednesday

The V.I. Police Department is searching for well-known local figure Khaien Donawa, 40, who has been missing since Wednesday.

Donawa is also known as D.J. Mavarick and, at one time, worked at radio station 1620 AM

The missing man is about 6 feet tall, weighs about 180 pounds, and has a brown complexion, black hair, a mustache and a goatee.

Donawa has often been seen on the side of the road near the Sion Farm traffic light selling bottled water and other items from his white Chevy Uplander, which is also missing.

Police issued an all-points bulletin on Donawa and the vehicle and urged anyone who has seen Donawa or has any information on where he may be to call the VIPD Forensic Unit at 1-340-712-6030 or 1-340-712-6077. They can also call the 911 dispatch center or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477.
