Crime Stoppers: Stop Crime, Get Paid

Crime Stoppers recognizes that crime is a problem in the territory and unless we, the citizens, do our part, we fear it is going to get worse. If you know something, say something. Even the smallest bit of information may be just what law enforcement needs to identify and arrest these criminals.

St. Croix: On May 23 at 8:35 p.m., police received a call of gunshots in Estate Carlton. Police found a number of bullet holes in the side of the house and a male resident in his late twenties who had suffered a gunshot to his hand. Witnesses saw a silver or gray vehicle leaving the scene. If you observed any vehicle(s) and/or any people in the area at the time of the shooting, please let Crime Stoppers know. Help put an end to these senseless shootings that are plaguing our communities.

St. John: On April 9 about 2:30 p.m., police received a report from two females that while they were swimming at Honeymoon Beach their handbags were stolen. The handbags contained two iPhones, cash, two Canon cameras and other personal items. Help police identify the thief(s).

St. Thomas: On May 20 at 9:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to Lime Street in Estate Tutu. Upon arrival they found a male lying in the road, bleeding from a gunshot wound. The man, who was shot by unknown gunman, died. Help put an end to these senseless killings by telling what you know about this murder.

Let’s continue to work for the good of all by telling Crime Stoppers what you know about these or any other crimes at www.CrimeStoppersUSVI.org or by calling 1-800-222-8477. You can also text “USVI” plus your message to 274637.

If your tip leads to an arrest or the recovery of stolen property, illegal drugs or weapons, you will receive a cash reward to be paid according to your instructions. The minimum reward for the arrest of a homicide suspect is $1,500; for the arrest of an assailant it is $900; and for the arrest of a thief it is $536.
