David Leonard Browne Sr. of Estate Mary’s Fancy died on April 18 at his residence. He was 68 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Browne; daughter, Donna Browne; sons: Marcus Browne (Texas), Eric Browne (Texas) and David Browne Jr.; grandchildren: Markeith Saunders (Texas), Davina, Daniel, Danisia, Ziah and Micah Browne, and Alanna Lawrence; sisters-in-law: Patsy Williams, Noreen Scott and Isola Williams; brothers-in-law: George, Charles and Lyder Corke (STV); daughters-in-saw: Tameisha Browne (Texas) and Gizelle Browne; sisters: Adelle (N.Y.), Patricia (Md.), Mary (Trinidad) and Antonio (Trinidad); brothers: Anthony (Canada), Robbie (Trinidad), Vernon Scott (STV) and Keith (Trinidad); and nieces: Marva (Va.), Roxanne (STV), Cye (N.Y.), Rosalind (Dominica), Cora Kamara (N.Y.) and Toya (N.Y.).
He is also survived by nephews: Kenny (STV), Neil (N.Y.), Lance (N.Y.) and Larry (N.Y.); special friends: Dr. Charles Perez, Fr. Richard and Mary V. Abbott and family, Pastor Ken Butler and family, Pam Powell and family, Eldon and Ursula Providence, Pastor Gardinier and family, Sunny Isle Baptist Church family, Oakland Benjamin and family, Beatrice McMahon and family (Ms. Mac), Verona Jones, Elroy Williams, Pastor Noel and Lucille Maynard and family, Rev. Gustave Petersen and family, Rudy and Edna Abrahmson, George Byam, Edmond Anthony, Cammie Daniel, Alvin G., Pastor Benjamin and family, Janasee Sinclair, the Gidean family, Pastor Harrigan and family, His Strawberry and Mary’s Fancy neighbors, Peter Richards (Fla.), Greata, Eugene Walwyn, John Liburd, Caribbean Cinemas family, Sunny Isles Shopping Center family and Helen M. Shirley; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will take place at 10 a.m. with tributes at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, at Sunny Isles Baptist Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
David L. Browne Memorial Fund: In lieu of flowers, we will appreciate a financial contribution to the David L Browne Memorial Fund. Please send it to the following two churches: New Horizon and Sunny Isle Baptist. New Horizon is a worship and family counseling ministry with licensed counselors providing counseling for lower income, uninsured families. Financial donations will be used to purchase land to develop the counseling center. Donations to Sunny Isle Baptist will go to its building fund.
