In a brazen daylight robbery, three masked men stole an undisclosed amount of jewelry Saturday from the Seven Wonders store on Kronprindsen Gade, V.I., police reported Monday.
The robbery happened a few minutes before 11 a.m. Saturday. According to police, at least two employees, the manager, and several customers were in the store.
Witnesses said three masked men, two with handguns, came into the store and ordered everyone to the ground. The suspects broke glass cases, removed jewelry and placed the items in a bag.
One suspect demanded money from the handbag of a female customer. The victim gave the suspect about $80 in cash, the report said.
The suspects then left the store on foot, running towards the back street. The witnesses told police the suspects were dressed in black shirts, black pants. They could not give any further descriptions.
This case is being investigated by detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
