Eardley Lloyd Claxton died on March 10.
He is survived by his sons: Lester, Merv and Kevin Claxton, and Errol, Maclean and Dave Williams; daughters: June France, Jaslyn Claxton-Gumbs, Lornette Claxton-Dupont, Sandra Claxton-Marks, Laverne and Charlene Claxton, and Sonia Richardson; adopted son, John Mills; and grandchildren: Josephine France, Claudia Gumbs-O’Loughlin, Kishma, Sherifia and Kyle Gumbs, Indria Herbert, Renisha and Keshorn Bennett, Tamesha and Shaquille Dupont, T’Niyah, Marquise, Malique, Tyrell and Gavin Claxton, Khalid Carr, Teandra and Terrik Marks, Khaliyah, Khalisha,Kyra, Khamari and Khalief Clarke, Diane and Monique Richardson, and Makayla, Shaneica, Sasha, Sydney, Michael, Deshorn, Javid and Jamier Williams.
He is also survived by great-grandchildren: Kylese and Kyera Gumbs, Shamiyah and Shamarley Royer, Khai, Khali, Sole’ and Shiloh O’Loughlin, Azeria Callwood, Kaylen Carr, Amunique Francis and Deandre Jeffers; sisters: Violet Hamilton and Ena Perez; brother, Wellton Claxton; aunt, Edith Richards; daughters-in-law: Lynette and Isa Williams; sons-in-law: Estaline “Rachie” Gumbs, Royston Dupont, Gregory Marks and Gerald Richardson; sister-in-law, Mildred Jones (Nevis); brothers: Oscar and Lyrelle Browne (England), and George and Eugene Wilkinson (Nevis); special friends: Mr. and Mrs. Egberth Joseph, Larry, and Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Ferguson; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention in Nevis, St. Martin and St. Croix.
The first viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. A second viewing will be held at 11 a.m. followed by a funeral service at noon on Friday, March 22, at Christ Church Methodist. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 2.
