V.I. Education Commissioner Dr. LaVerne Terry encourages the general public to report any misuse of the department’s federal funding to the U.S. Department of Education and the U.S. Department of the Interior Offices of the Inspector General.
In an effort to continue meeting the mandates of the Compliance Agreement between the U.S. Department of Education and the V.I. government, the Department of Education is required to publicize the toll-free telephone numbers that residents can use to call in any misuse or fraud, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the V.I. Department of Education.
“These numbers are available to all schools, teachers, parents and participants of the adult and vocational programs, VIDE employees, all government agencies and other interested stakeholders,” Terry said.
The numbers are:
