Ura Hodge-Steele died on Feb. 23 in New York. She was 66 years old.
She is survived by her husband, Andrease Steele; children: Debra Steele Ashaju and Lisa Steele Byam; grandchildren: Isaiah Ashaju, Vanessa Ashaju and Anfernee Byam; sisters: Elvera Hodge Benjamin, Lyra Hodge Steele, Chola Hodge, Elmyra Hodge Brewley and Elreda Hodge: brothers: Austin Hodge, Ira Hodge, William Hodge Jr., Ivin Hodge and Irvine Hodge; adopted brother, Neville Thomas; sons-in-law: Bello Bayoni Odunsi Ashaju and Kareem Byam; sisters-in-law: Violet Hodge, Marcia Colon-Hodge, Eleanor Hodge, Ulanda Hodge, Beatrice Hodge, Jeryl Hodge, Henriqueta Steele and Rehenia Steele-Sille; brothers-in-law: Franklin Steele, Samuel Hodge, Edgar Steele and Ivo Steele; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
