BIR Mails Form to Taxpayers Receiving Income Tax Refunds in 2012

The Government of the Virgin Islands has mailed Form 1099-INT to taxpayers who received interest on any refunds paid during calendar year 2012, according to a press release issued Friday by the Virgin Islands Bureau of Internal Revenue,
“Taxpayers are reminded to include the interest amount on income tax returns that are filed with the Bureau. The 2012 income tax return is due Monday, April 15,” said Director Claudette Watson-Anderson.
Questions regarding Form 1099-INT should be directed to the Federal Disclosure Office at 715-1040, ext. 2240.
