Three Arrested in Separate Incidents on St. Thomas

Three people were arrested this week on St. Thomas in separate incidents, one for allegedly discharging shots in a public area and two others on unrelated larceny charges.

Rashawn Morone, 20, was arrested at about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday after witnesses identified him as the person who stole several bottles of liquor from his former place of employment. Morone was charged with grand larceny and held on $45,000 bail.

Benjamin Hodge, 19, was arrested just after 5 p.m. Wednesday when he was identified as the person who stole an Acer computer tablet and case, both of which were found in his possession. He was charged with possession of stolen property and his bail was set at $10,000.

Police arrested 23-year-old Dwayne Fahie about two hours after he allegedly fired shots in a public area. Police said at about 1:45 p.m. Thursday, a person later identified as Fahie was walking near the dry cleaners on the Weymouth Rhymer Highway and fired several shots toward a white vehicle driving on the roadway. No one was injured.

Fahie was charged with first-degree assault, possession of unlicensed firearms, reckless endangerment, illegal discharge of a firearm and damage to a vehicle. His bail was set at $130,000.

All suspects were remanded to the Bureau of Corrections pending further court action.
