Esther E. Davis Dies at 82

Esther Davis Esther E. Davis of Estate Peter’s Rest died on Feb. 8 at her residence. She was 82 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Gloria M. Davis-Rodgers, Lorna E. Davis, Annette M. Davis, June Rhymer-Rodney, Barbara Rhymer-Mitchell and Judith D. Rhymer; sons: Hubert H. Davis Jr. and Wayne E. Rhymer; and grandchildren: Danica David, Lloyd Kiambo David, Leonarda Rodgers, Anique Thomas, Anton An’duze, Cemonique Davis, Troy Davis, Mark Davis, Anthony Davis, Stephanie Davis, Ronald Rodney, Aubrey Leon, Jaynese Watson, Sherresse Mitchell, Shanelle Mitchell, Saleta Mitchell, Leonce Mitchell and Joshua Peterson.
She is also survived by great-grandchildren: Alex Akeel Williams, Kaylan DaCosta, Kristen David, Kourie David, Shomya Davis, Alayah Davis, Alaire Davis, Jayden Davis, Ayden Davis, Ajanaii Leon, Sha’reem Mitchell and O’dejah Mcgowan; granddaughters-in-law: Kimberly David and Samatha Rodney; son-in-law, Leonard Rodgers; sister, Violet Connor; nieces: Anna M. Harrigan, Joyce Javois, Joann Moore, Jacquelyn Harrigan and Sonia Harrigan; nephews: Ashford Connor and Henry Harrigan Jr.; great nieces: Ayalua Nurse, Aisha Nurse and Destiny Charles; special friends: Mrs. Gore, the Women’s Missionary and all members of Bethel A.M.E. Church; cousins and other relatives: Mavis Hennessy, Beverly Bonoeau-Gumb, Berecia Canton and Dalton Fleming; great nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives too numerous to mention.
We would like to thank La Paz for their great services and personal attention.
There will be tributes at 9:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb.18, at Bethel A.M.E. Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
