Police shot and killed Kendall Petersen Jr., 30, son of Fifth V.I. Constitutional Convention Delegate Kendall "Seigo" Petersen, early Thursday morning while executing a search warrant on a Frederiksted home, according to the V.I. Police Department. Internal Affairs agents have launched a use-of-force investigation into the shooting, in addition to the investigation conducted by the Investigation Bureau, which is standard procedure.

Manuel Alfonseca Jr. was shot several times in the Paradise Mills apartments parking lot of Building 1. He was taken to Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.

Two 29-year-old men were shot Wednesday night at Estate Grove Place on St. Croix. According to police, the two men were near Building 43 in the Mutual Homes housing community around 9 p.m., when they were shot several times by unknown assailants. An unnamed doctor at the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and Medical Center pronounced both victims dead. Police identified the murder victims as Sylvester Hodge and Michael Javios.

Robert A. Johnson, 73, was found killed in his Estate Boetzberg home at 8:15 a.m. by a worker. No motive or details or the cause of death were made available at the time of notification by the Police spokesperson.

Four-and-a-half-month-old Jemeson Beauvoir was pronounced dead at Roy L. Schneider Hospital after being picked up by Emergency personnel from a home in Anna’s Retreat. The child died from blunt force trauma to his head.

Nemecio Camacho III was found on Feb. 27 with a gunshot wound to his upper body and a handgun tucked into his pants in Estate Bonne Esperance, police said. Camacho was taken by ambulance to Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and died Feb. 29 of his wounds.

Deneil Brow, 22 died from a gunshot to his head in the vicinity of the Shuama Service Station in the Sunny Isle area. Another victim received multiple gunshot wounds but survived.

Leroy Jardin, 69, was found shortly after midnight March 11 in Estate Adventure Hill with several large lacerations on his head and face from an apparent machete attack. Jordan was taken to Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital and died of his wounds.

George Erskine, 66, found dead of multiple stab wounds around 9:30 a.m. outside, near his home on Cassi Hill. Erskine’s wive Jadine Bachelor, 59, was found dead in their home, possibly showing signs of foaming at the mouth. No official cause of death had been released by police as of May 11, 2012.

Mohammed Salem, 18 of Estate Thomas was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in a vehicle in Estate Solberg about 12:45 a.m. May 11, when a concerned citizen told police there was a vehicle blocking the roadway.

Gilbert Hendricks died of injuries sustained when he was shot from a moving vehicle while walking in Estate La Grande Princesse May 10. Elvin Wrensford, 27 of Estate Mount Washington was arrested and charged with murder in the case.

Kahmal Simmonds, 21, died after being shot near the Christian Hendricks Vegetable Market in Christiansted town around 3 a.m. May 19. More than 50 spent shell casings were recovered at the crime scene. Officers said they saw at least two vehicles speed away from the scene and several parked vehicles which were damaged by gunshots. No arrests as of May 26.

Twenty-two year old Jose Fuentes was shot a few minutes after 8 p.m. May 26, near the Contant Car Wash then taken to Schneider Regional Medical Center where he later died, according to police. Investigation remains open.

Gerald Jackson, age 23, was killed by police after allegedly firing a weapon at police. About 8:30 p.m. Saturday, May 26, police patrolling in the area of the May 25 shooting death of Jose Fuentes were fired upon. The officers returned fire. Jackson One suspect was killed and another arrested, and two officers were injured.

A few minutes past 9 p.m., 24-year-old Isaac Gonzales was found dead in a black Accura in LBJ with multiple gunshots. Another victim was shot at least once in the upper body and taken to Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital for treatment, according to police.

Shortly after 3 a.m., Kashawn Stephens, 18, was stabbed inside the Hush nightclub on St. Thomas and later died, according to the V.I. Police Department. Another male was also stabbed in the same incident.

Carleto R. Blake, 23, of H.H. Bergs Homes was found shot around 10:45 p.m. in the doorway of an apartment in Building 1 B. A resident of the neighborhood, Blake appeared to have multiple gunshot wounds to his body. When medical technicians arrived, they said the victim had no vital signs.
Adrian Wheatley, 20, was stabbed to death inside the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility on St. Croix and the perpetrator identified and charged.

Ali M. Yanes, 33, of Altona was found shot to death Sunday around 10 p.m. in front of the Soto Town minimart in Estate Contant. When police arrived, emergency medical technicians were attending to the victim, who had multiple gunshot wounds and was unresponsive.

Francisco Budhoo, 32, died of gunshot wounds at Lorraine Village apartments. Budhoo was shot multiple times. Police officers responded to a report of shots fired at about 1 a.m. Budhoo had been released July 12 from the Golden Grove Adult Correctional Facility.

Kai J. Gumbs, 28, was shot to death while driving on the Queen Mary Highway. Police did not release the name of the surviving victim in the passenger seat, who was taken to Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital.

Sabree Spencer, 28, was shot to death at about 11:30 p.m. near the Mountbijou bus shanty. Police officers responded to a 911 call reporting an assault found Spencer, who had been shot several times.Emergency Medical Technicians on the scene did not detect any signs of life on the victim. CIB detectives and forensics processed the scene for evidence.

A man identified as Tiny Jah Jarvis, 31, of Grunwald, was shot to death Friday evening at the Bellvue affordable housing community on Gifft Hill Road. Police found Javis’ body at around 10:30 p.m. He’d been shot several times and EMTs at the scene found no signs of life.

Ecliff James, 32, was providing security at Club 54 in downtown Christiansted, according to Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives, when an unknown suspect entered the club, walked directly up to James, and shot him several times, killing him. The suspect then left the club and fled the scene, according to witnesses.

Police were called to a report of gunshots fired in Estate Altona in the vicinity of Western Cemetery 2 and 3. They found the body of 44-year-old Otis James of Bergs Home. He had been shot multiple times and was declarted dead at the scene. Witnesses described two men running from the scene.

At about 10:30 p.m., police were dispatched to Estate Anna’s Retreat where they found an unresponsive man on the ground in front of his residence. He had received multiple gunshot wounds. Police identified the victim as 30-year-old David Payne. Emergency medical technicians on the scene said the victim has no vital signs. He was taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center and later pronounced dead by medical personnel.

At about 11:45, police were dispatched to Gamble Gade in Savan where there had been reports of a gunshot victim. When police arrived they found an injured man in the street. The victim, who was later identified as 40-year-old Andre Jules Tanis, a native of Haiti, was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The preliminary police investigation revealed Tanis was in the area of Friendly Bar in Savan when several shots were fired at him. He was seen running from the area and later collapsed on Gamble Gade.

John Jacob Bierowski, known as "Jake," was found dead Friday night in a house in Estate Pearl in circumstances the V.I. Police Department are calling a murder. Bierowski is the a 26-year-old son of St. Croix artist Betsey Campen. As of 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, there had been no official statement from the police about the cause of death, the time of the incident or the circumstances.

Criminal Investigation Bureau detectives are investigating the shooting death of 26-year-old Shawn Ian Drew who was shot and killed by the Watergut Shanty in Christiansted. Police received a report of shots being fired at about 11:15 p.m. in the vicinity of the bus terminal in Water Gut. Officers arriving on the scene found Drew down and unresponsive. Witnesses said a second man had been taken to Juan F. Luis Memorial Hospital in a private vehicle. Emergency medical personnel declared the man dead at the scene. The one taken to the hospital went into surgery and according to police is expected to survive. Witnesses told police that masked men came on scene targeted a vehicle carrying the two victims and fired shots, then fled the scene.

V.I. Police Officer Colvin Georges, who was shot in the line of duty on St. Croix May 26, succumbed to his injuries in a Miami hospital.

Karem Moses, a 19-year-old resident of Estate Anna’s Retreat, was shot and killed Monday evening at the Tutu High Rise community. At 8:40 p.m. police were dispatched by 911 operators to a site near building 17 in the housing community. Officers found the unresponsive body of the victim, later identified as Moses. Police said the victim seemed to have multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

Alfredo De La Rosa-Villar, 33, was shot and killed in Estate Anna’s Retreat. The incident took place at about 6:30 p.m. Police were notified of the shooting when several men went to the Mariel C. Newton Command, Zone C, and told police their friend had been shot. Officers traveled to the scene and found the victim in the roadway with several bullet wounds about his body. Emergency Medical Technicians transported the victim by ambulance to the Schneider Regional Medical Center where he was rushed into surgery but later died.

Liston Powell Jr., a 45-year-old man also known as “Jah Ras,” was found shot to death Monday in an area of Savan where he was known to farm. Police are investigating.

Two 17-year old minor males were shot on Frederiksted’s, Ann E. Abramson Pier around 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 evening leaving one dead and one wounded, according to the V.I. Police Department. Police are investigating the possibility that the deceased and the wounded victim may have been suspects in a robbery that was reported from the same area that night.

Winnelta Fredericks, a 28-year-old woman riding as a passenger in a vehicle that passed through Frederiksted, was killed Tuesday night by a gunshot fired by an unknown person, the V.I. Police Department reported. According to the police report, the shooting took place at about 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Emergency dispatchers sent police to Frederiksted to respond to a call of shots fired. While en route the officers were told of a shooting victim inside a vehicle near Estate Williams Delight. At that scene, police found an unresponsive female who appeared to have gunshot wounds to her body. The vehicle was also damaged by gunshots, and the woman was in the front passenger seat. The woman was taken to the Juan F. Luis Hospital and pronounced dead at about 1:30 a.m.

Policeresponding to a call of a disturbance in Estate Mon Bijou just a few minutes before 7 a.m., discovered the unresponsive body of the victim, later identified as 56-year-old Languedoc Ainsworth.The victim had several puncture wounds on various parts of his body, according to police. Less than two hours later officers arrested 27-year-old Anthony Lloyd at a home in Estate Smithfield. The victim had been dating Lloyd’s mother, according to police, who described the crime as "a family dispute between the victim and the suspect that turned deadly."

Police responding to a report of a home invasion robbery confronted two suspects who openened fire on them. One police officer was injureed and two of the three suspects were killed. Pronounced dead were Edwin Carmone, 30, and Franklyn Johnson Jr., 20. A third suspect, a 15-year-old, was captured at the scene and remanded to the custody of youth authorities.

A 19-year-old suspect allegedly attempted to steal a car, got into a fight with the owner, and was stabbed to death. The man told police that at about 8:45 p.m. Monday on Brookman Road, he was getting out of his car when another man, later identified as 19-year-old Aldon Ashley, approached him and said, “I am going with this Jeep." According to the report, Ashley allegedly put his hand in his pocket and threatened to “blast” the car’s owner. The two began fighting. The owner of the Jeep told police he pulled out a knife and began to stab Ashley, who released him and collapsed after running across the street.

Keith Dawson Jr., 22, was shot and killed early Sunday morning in Sub Base, St. Thomas, just before 4 a.m. Witnesses told police that several shots were fired between two individuals near Metropolis Night Club and Doctor’s Choice Pharmacy. Dawson was not one of the shooters, witnesses said, but was struck by gunfire. The victim was taken by private vehicle to Schneider Regional Hospital, where he was declared dead.

Michael Greer, a man in his 70s, was shot to death in Estate Thomas. Police are searching for a suspect who reportedly fled from the scene. Neighbors told police that about 9:45 p.m., they heard a single gunshot outside. When family members went outside they saw the injured Greer, who was taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. One witness told police he heard a struggle and then a single gunshot. Others said they saw a man in a white shirt running away from the scene.

William Hyde died in a Florida as the result of injuries sustained in an attack Nov. 23 on St. Thomas. According to police, five men from 16 to 17 lured Hyde, abducted him and commandeered his vehicle, took him to Magens Bay and severely beat him before leaving him to die. He was found the next morning in the women’s shower at Magens Bay with no identification or any other means by which the police could determine who he was. Only after putting out a call to the community were authorities able to identify the comatose man. Due to the severity of his injuries he was transferred to a Florida hospital. He was taken off of life support approximately Dec. 10 and clung to life for a week before succumbing on Dec. 17.
