Woman Robbed in Frederiksted

A woman was robbed by two males, one carrying a machete, at about noon Saturday on Prince Street in Frederiksted, police indicated in a Monday press release.

The victim told police she was parking her vehicle when two suspects with black stockings over their faces approached her, demanded her purse and threatened her. When she began to scream for help, the suspect with the machete cut her on the arm and the finger with the weapon. The suspects then grabbed her purse and fled the area.

The purse was described as a pink Joe Boxer’s handbag containing the victim’s driver’s license and about $600 in cash.
