Uniform Guidelines Announced for Richards Jr. H.S. Students

Kurt Vialet, principal of the Arthur A. Richards Junior High (AARJH) School, informs parents and guardians of the school’s uniform policy. “The school uniform should be worn with pride and dignity at all times,” the he said.
Girls and boys should follow these uniform guidelines while on the school’s campus:
Girls:
· Plain white Polo or buttoned-down shirt/blouse with collar, worn tucked inside skirt. No insigna/decals.
· Boxed or knife/accordion pleated navy blue skirts worn at-the-knee front and back. No shorter.
· No designs, cummerbund waists, wraps, splits or bows on skirts; no skorts.
· White or blue socks only. No frills or colored socks allowed.
· No make-up.
· No pants allowed.
Boys:
· Plain white polo or buttoned-down shirt with collar. Shirt must be tucked in pants at all times.
· Long navy blue pants without designers’ logo. No denim.
Boys and Girls:
· Black shoes required (Absolutely no boots or high-top sneakers).
· Black or white sneakers may be worn- no other colors. Sneakers must be predominantly white or black. No neon colors or other color logo other than blue.
· All undershirts worn must be plain white.
· Slacks or pants worn with a black or brown belt.
· No caps, sweat bands or bandanas.
· No large, baggy, cargo or carpenter pants.
· No excessive jewelry (to include colorful girls costume jewelry). Earrings should not be larger than a quarter. Boys are not allowed to wear earrings.
· No earrings that reflect drugs, gambling, etc.
