Educators to Participate in AVID Summer Institute in Philadelphia

St. Croix’s Superintendent of Schools Gary Molloy will join teams of educators from the junior high schools who are continuing on a pursuit for new information and strategies to best prepare students for college acceptance. Elena Christian, John H. Woodson and Arthur A. Richards junior high schools will each send a team of eight members to the Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Summer Institute scheduled for July 29 to Aug. 2, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Titled “Opening Doors to Opportunity,” the 2012 AVIDSummer Institute is a forum to discuss and share best practices on opening access to rigorous curriculum.
