The V.I. Economic Development Authority has launched a new local TV show, “Focus on the VI Marketplace.” This 30-minute program will broadcast each week on the VI Access Channel.
The first show featured co-hosts Percival E. Clouden, CEO of the agency, and Jennifer Nugent-Hill, assistant CEO, and guest guest Albert Bryan, Jr., commissioner of Labor and chairman of the VIEDA board.
The show will showcase some of the VIEDA clients and show how true public and private partnerships can help new business start-ups and grow existing local businesses while informing local residents about theimportance of economic development programs in the territory, according to a news release.
“With the Government Access Channels and later addition of other public
channels in St. Thomas, the VIEDA has the opportunity to reach thousands of
local residents with information on its various initiatives,” Clouden said. “The general
public will have an opportunity each week to not only view, but interact live via telephone call-in during the show, or to send us email to jnugent-hill@usvieda.org.”
On the next episode, members of the Enterprise Zone Commission will be interviewed. There will also be a discussion on the Frederiksted Town Plan and a roundtable discussion on VIEDA’s Lending Division.
