Lt. Gov. Francis Welcomes Caribbean Insurance Conference

Lieutenant Governor Gregory R. Francis will welcome members of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean (IAC) and representatives of the global insurance industry to the territory for the 32nd Annual Caribbean Insurance Conference. The conference will be held from June 3-5, at the Marriott’s Frenchman’s Reef Resort in St. Thomas, according to a press release issued Friday by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of the USVI.
Francis, who serves as the territory’s commissioner of insurance, is looking forward to participating in the conference. “I appreciate this opportunity for regulators, insurance institutions and legislators to come together to discuss issues impacting the diverse communities of the Caribbean,” he states. “It is important that we take those measures to ensure that the industry remains viable and able to sustain the requirements of this region and its people.”
Gov. John P. deJongh Jr. will be the guest speaker at the opening ceremony of the conference on Sunday, June 3.
