Input Wanted on Final Draft Plan for Estate Thomas Experimental Forest

The United States Department of Agriculture Forest Service, International Institute of Tropical Forestry is seeking comments on the Final Draft Management Plan for Estate Thomas Experimental Forest. The International Institute of Tropical Forestry will hold a public meeting on Thursday, May 24, to bring together local groups and organizations, educators, federal and local government, and other interested parties to discuss the final plan. The meeting will be held from 1-3 p.m. at the National Park Service Headquarters Building in Christiansted at the corner of Hospital St. and Company St.
Those unable to attend the afternoon meeting, are welcome to attend a later meeting scheduled from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in Room 133 at the University of the Virgin Islands, Research and Extension Center. The purpose of the evening meeting is to gain input on the management plan, in particular from Estate Thomas neighbors.
