Crime Stoppers Needs Your Help

Law enforcement asks for help in solving the following crimes. If you know something, say something. Crime cannot be controlled without the help of the entire community. Even the smallest bit of information may be just what is needed to solve these cases.

St. Croix: On May 2, employees at the Department of Public Works in Anna’s Hope discovered that about 200 aluminum traffic control signs had been stolen from the property. Each sign cost about $400 with an overall loss of $80,000. Help law enforcement identify the thief(s) and the buyers of the metal.

St. John: On Feb. 2, two people were parked outside of Mongoose Junction in Cruz Bay when a man asked them for a ride. When they were in the vicinity of the EC Service Station, he robbed both of them of their personal belongings. The suspect, who was armed with a large, fork-type object, then got out of the vehicle and ran towards the Methodist Church.

St. Thomas: On April 28 at 7:50 p.m., a man was walking on the waterfront in the area of the Coast Guard dock when he was approached by six men. One of them pointed a gun at him and fired several shots. The victim said some of the men got into a boat and drove off while the others fled on foot. The victim was treated for several gunshot wounds.
