St. Croix: VIPD would like to remind everyone to keep a watchful eye for suspicious activity that might be related to the theft and resale of copper and other metals. Unfortunately, copper theft has become all too common throughout the United States, so it is not a problem unique to the Virgin Islands. Please notify law enforcement if you observe any suspicious behavior, especially around construction sites or vacant houses. In the event you feel a need to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers.
St. John: Law enforcement is still looking for Seara Samantha James, who was reported missing in October of 2011. Miss James was last seen at the foot of Power Boyd Plantation Hill. St. Thomas: In the early afternoon of Saturday, April 14, Majestic Jewelers, located in the Al Cohens Mall, was robbed by two armed, masked men. They entered the store and demanded that the employees “get down on the floor and don’t move.” The robbers then removed jewelry from the show cases, and drove off in a silver or grey Dodge Caravan. The minivan was later discovered parked in the Paul M. Pearson Gardens housing community.
