Friends of V.I. National Park Beach-to-Beach Power Swim Set for May 27

Join Friends of Virgin Islands National Park on Sunday, April 15, for the first practice swim before the big race. Meet at Maho Bay beach at 8:30 a.m. and swim the short course portion of the race to Cinnamon (approximately one mile). Swim assisted (with fins, mask, snorkel) or swim unassisted. Safety boats will be in the water for support. For those who live on St. Thomas, there is plenty of time to take the 7:30 a.m. ferry and join the event. If you let the Friends of Virgin Islands National Park know you are coming, we will pick you up at the ferry dock. E-mail Heather at hruhsam@friendsvinp.org or call 779-4940.
Two more practice swims will be offered at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 29, (Maho to Cinnamon or Trunk) and Sunday, May 13 (Maho to Cinnamon, Trunk or Hawksnest). The race itself will be held at 8 a.m. on Sunday, May 27. Registration is now open. Go to www.friendsvinp.org/swim or call 779-4940 for more details or to register.
